The year is slowly coming to an end and so it's time to look back at the countless highlights from 2017... The first day of the new year I spent in Samedan, as well as the second and many many more in January and February. In mid-January, I stood somewhere in the Bernese Alps to see the fly-pasts during the Lauberhorn ski races. Then just a few days later, the World Economic Forum started and Zurich Airport was once more crowded with business and government aircraft. In February, St. Moritz hosted the Ski World Championships and again I found myself somewhere in the Alps to have a nice view on the display of the SWISS CS100/Patrouille Suisse. Not much happened in March and April besides a daytrip to Stuttgart to visit DC Aviation and the inaugural landing of an A350 at ZRH. May wasn't that eventful either but visiting the EBACE in Geneva was definitely a highlight of 2017. Then in June, I attended the Paris Air Show for the first time, followed by a lot of travelling in July, including spotting in Vancouver and London. In August, SWISS retired its last "Jumbolino" and I had the chance to be on board the farewell flight. The next two months were full of military aviation action, starting in early September with an interception exercise, followed by the Sion Airshow and ending with the Axalp Live Fire Event mid-October. In November, I didn't shoot a single photo... December was/is also very quiet. And if I won't make it to the airport again in 2017 (which is likely), my year of photography will have ended the way it started - Chasing business jets in Samedan. But enough text... here are my Top 25 photos of 2017: That's it, hope you enjoyed this short review. Wish you all a great start into 2018 and all the best for the coming year!
